Franzese Hot Chocolate Lava Cake



directions: (preheat oven to 450; butter/grease ramekins or muffin cups)

  • Melt chopped chocolate and butter over a double boiler. 
  • Whisk together eggs, yolks, sugar and Grand Brulot until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together Franzese Traditional Hot Cocoa Mix and flour. 
  • Whisk the melted chocolate into the egg mixture until fully combined. Gently stir in the flour to combine. 
  • Pour into ramekins or muffin cups and bake for exactly 10 minutes.  
  • Remove from oven and let sit for one minute before gently inverting onto serving plate. 
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately while still hot.
